We are currently looking for a ITC Engineer in Derby.


Your mission:


  • Taking responsibility for preparing and executing test and commissioning activities for signaling systems in field, in support of one or several projects. Testing may be performed on trackside systems (ETCS and color light signalling schemes, including control center equipment, IXL, RBC and associated systems) or on onboard systems (Atlas and Ebicab).


Your responsibilities will include:


  • Preparing and executing testing activities in support of one or several Projects on railway signaling systems, and according to the testing procedure / documentation
  • Ensuring defects identification and correction (excellent trouble shooting skills)
  • In the event of a non-conformity observed during the commissioning phase, make a return of experience (REX) towards the project team and O&M team, and ensure that all design related issues are correctly reported in the adequate tools, including the defect description and associated test context (NCRs)
  • Ensuring follow-up of detected issues and deliver the commissioning reports
  • Checking that the test tools are in perfect working condition and calibrated
  • Supporting V&V team and perform test in lab as requested
  • Delivering the committed performance in terms of Quality, Costs and Schedule and in compliance with Alstom policies, local standards, and regulations (in particular EHS and Railway Safety)
  • Providing technical training to O&M team members (classroom and on the job) as needed
  • Ensuring EHS and AZDP rules are fully respected in the project T&C scope. Report Deviations, Near-misses, and Accidents
  • Defining clear and exhaustive Test Acceptance Criteria based on contractual requirements, analyzing, editing, and maintaining testable resources in DOORS and SCVM
  • Organizing dynamic test runs including drivers, interfacing with customer as required
  • Applying 5S at corresponding work areas Support site in a trip scheme to execute field tests.


Your experience and qualifications :


  • Master's degree in engineering (preferably electronics or embedded systems) or equivalent experience
  • Good knowledge of English language (read, written, spoken), any other additional language is an asset
  • Railway and signaling knowledge
  • Flexibility and mobility, available for short mission in different locations and countries
  • Available to work at night, during weekends and on public holidays
  • Rigorous & team player
  • Resilience, with an analytic way of thinking in order to solve complex system failures
  • Customer satisfaction and results orientated
  • Able to communicate in an open and clear manner with various stakeholders
  • Ability to use new technologies and tools
  • Valid Driver's license
  • Desired Qualifications:
    • Previous Engineering, V&V, ITC or Maintenance for Railway Signaling is an asset
    • Previous experience with DOORS, RQM, RTC, etc.
