Your mission?


As a Bid Controller as part of the bid team, you will manage and support the bid process for all new bids from a financial point of view, ensuring that the governance requirements are met. This person is also responsible for challenging the set-up and the input from the Group Finance functions (Taxation, Treasury, Structure Finance, Accounting, etc.). Another key requirement of this role will be to validate the committed input from functions while ensuring efficient handover to the Project Delivery Team.

Your key responsibilities?


  • Prepare and validate the bid calculations
  • Analyse and challenge the cost base and assumptions from all functions to assure sound financials for the execution of the project
  • Coordinate and validate the commercial and contractual setup and input from the Group Finance functions
  • Present and defend the financial section of the Bid Pack at Regional, Divisional Reviews and at Group Reviews
  • Act as proactive counterpart in all bid related matters to Regional team and Division bid team
  • Act as a strong business partner to bids and sales to reach low cost and low risk solutions
  • Ensure that internal bid controlling directive is followed
  • Monitor changes in financial parameters between bid submittal and negotiation and inform management on the impact
  • Make sure final estimates are signed-off by the concerned functions (Engineering, Procurement, etc.).


Minimum qualifications:


  • Languages: Fluent English
  • Holding a CIMA or a ACCA certification, or studying towards obtaining one is highly desirable
  • Project Analyst experience required, preferably in railway industry but not limited to
  • Good experience in bid finance is required
  • Experience in governance cycles is highly desirable
  • Good negotiating skills and teamwork.




  • Degree in Finance or relevant field
