Join our Industrial Quality team on an 18-month Contract based in Dandenong, Melbourne. The Process Industrial Quality Lead has experience implementing the 8D methodology from inception to conclusion and has current experience planning and leading IQ activities in workshop environments across various industries.  

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage and execute IQ activities in workshop.
  • Perform inspections and ensure product compliance according to Quality Control Plan.
  • SME to support the decision for all Hand Overs (GO / NOGO) & keeps NO GO Veto Right.
  • Responsible for Stop the production if needed for mandatory reason (e.g. Safety impact needed rework).
  • Responsible for ensuring availability of Car History Book & Compliance of the manufactured products before shipping.
  • Lead FAR & Participate to FMR / SMR.

 

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Solid Knowledge of 8D Methodology, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing, and Cable & wire Harness acceptability.
  • Strong understanding of Assembled Product completion and handover.
  • Proven track record participating in customer-joint inspections.
  • Hands on experience leading and performing incoming inspections, final inspections and hold points.
  • Knowledge of IPC 620, ISO 9001 and familiar with Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Understanding of special processes: welding, crimping, torque tightening, and sealing.
