Industrial Quality Engineer

Join our Industrial Quality team on a 14-month Contract based in Dandenong, Melbourne. The Industrial Quality Engineer is familiar with the 8D methodology and has current experience managing IQ activities in workshop environments including implementing and updating quality control plans during Pre & Serial manufacturing activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and execute IQ activities in workshop.
• Perform inspections and ensure product compliance (check after rework) according to Quality Control Plan.
• Implement & Regularly update of Quality Control Plans during Pre & Serial manufacturing activities.
• Support the decision for all Hand Overs (GO / NOGO) & keeps NO GO Veto Right in any case
• Stop the production if needed for mandatory reason (e.g. Safety impact needed rework).

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• Experience managing Non-Conformance reports, quality documentation and traceability to complete characterization until closure.
• Knowledge of 8D Methodology.
• Experience reading and interpreting technical drawings.
• Proven track record participating in customer-joint inspections.
• Hands on experience with incoming inspections, final inspections and hold points.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 and familiar with Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
