Could you be the full-time Industrial Engineer in Dandenong that we are looking for? 


Your future role


Take on a new challenge and apply your Welding process knowledge and industrialisation expertise in our Product Manufacturing Engineering team. You will report to the Lead Product Manufacturing Engineer in Dandenong, and work alongside motivated, dedicated and passionate teammates.


You'll develop/Industrialise metallics supplier by handling quality and capacity issues in order to meet the QCD of the project. You will also be responsible to ensure the supplier meets the Alstom’s manufacturing standards and requirements and support them as necessary to develop the critical parts & processes for new projects.
You’ll specifically take care of contributions during specifications and design phases to technical solution decisions associated to metallic parts design, but also manage industrial risk at supplier end through Process FMEA and associated improvement action plan.


We’ll look to you for: 
•    Manage evolution of quality control process dedicated to welding special process (if involved).
•    Guarantees internal control and good application of process rules in line with customers’ requirements at supplier end by performing process audits
•    In case of non-conformity or incident at supplier end, investigate root causes, finds and implement repair solutions
•    Participate in FAI at supplier end and ensure closure of open points

•    Engineering degree in process engineering, mechanical or Industrial/ process engineering 
•    Training and Qualification by a third party for welding – IWE certification is highly desirable
•    Proven background in Industrial engineering preferably in the railway industry (rolling stock or component business) such as sheet metal parts/ Cutting, welding and forming process / Automotive/ Defence.
•    Practice in the welding process (execution, definition, qualification)
•    Technical experience of Process Engineering, writing manufacturing work instructions, line balancing, Lean Manufacturing
•    Proven experience in handling metallic suppliers for quality and delivery issues
