Alstom has a new opportunity for a Rail Safety & EHS Trainer to join our business on a permanent fulltime basis based in the Dandenong, VIC operations.
The key responsibilities for this role include:
- Implement and maintain the EHS & Rail Safety Elements of the site's Competency Matrix and ensure these are in line with the Alstom Corporate Template
- Maintain and deliver the site EHS & Rail Safety Induction
- Ensure the induction program effectively communicates the organisation's key safety requirements and values, particularly the AZDP (Alstom Zero Deviation Plans) approach
- Develop, maintain and lead the implementation of a site specific EHS & Rail Safety Competency Training Program
- Coordinate an effective EHS & Rail Safety Verification of Competency program, in line with Alstom requirements
- Regularly report on the status of the EHS & Rail Safety competency program
- Assist and lead the preparation of EHS & Rail Safety gap analyses
- Identify initiatives to support positive EHS & Rail Safety learning outcomes
- Support a culture that promotes positive safety outcomes
- Ensure learning and competency records are effectively maintained
Requirements to succeed in this role:
- Certificate IV in Training & Assessment
- Certificate IV or Diploma in health and safety as a minimum
- Rail safety or heavy industry project experience in a similar role, with sound knowledge of local legal requirements
- Ability to develop, maintain and implement a site specific EHS Competency Training Program
- Initiative, drive and resilience, with the ability to influence people at all levels within the operations
- Strong knowledge of safe working systems, rules and procedures
