Your future role
You will have the opportunity and satisfaction to be involved in large-scale projects starting from the conceptual design phase through manufacturing and testing. You will be well organized, and schedule driven, being able to make sound engineering decisions based on customer requirements, cost to deliver a quality and reliable product to the mass-transit market.
We’ll look to you for:
- Performing gauge calculations
- Performing car/car and car/bogie displacement calculations
- Proper understanding of discipline inputs for all stakeholders
- Supporting train level validation for relevant activities
- Preparing and documenting calculation notes
- Track layouts awareness
- Train level architecture awareness
- 3D Software tools (CATIA…)
Responsible for:
- Performing gauge calculations according to applicable standards & metier referential including report production
- Performing the maximum construction gauge 3D envelope and storing it in the system
- Suggesting architecture modifications to achieve desired carbody dimensions while ensuring gauge compatibility
- Preparing, documenting & conducting Gauge Calculation Design Review
- Defining bogie–car and car-car displacement matrix, issuing a report and matrix for concerned equipment’s
- Applying bogie displacement matrix on a kinematic model and defining the allocated volume for bogie
- Applying car-car displacement matrix on a kinematic model and defining allocated volumes (for couplers, gangway, dampers, buffers, etc.), issuing relevant report
- Performing all relevant displacement matrix to provide extreme positions for relevant scope (tubing flexible hoses and electrical wiring)
- Providing clearances and coupling calculation notes
- Providing train validation specification test to Validation team for relevant features
- Interfacing with relevant notified bodies for gauge certification
- manage the weight balance on the project.

- Graduated from Mechanical Engineering school with Master of Science degree
- 3 years in similar activity/domain
- Track layouts awareness
- Train level architecture awareness
- Experience with CATIA V5 required
- Able to work in a team environment
- Your software skills ideally include MS Office Suite
- Good Communications and interpersonal skills
- Time management and reporting skills.
- Structured and organized with Hands-on approach.
- English operational in read/writing and technical meetings
