We are currently looking to recruit Project Manager External Cost Process Optimization Lead based in France, Crespin.




The Cost on Track (CoT) ECPO (External Cost Process Optimization) Lead is the key role in the management of the cross-Products and cross-Projects ECPO initiative, within the Cost on track Program. The key feature of the initiative is to apply the ECPO methodology on a transversal approach by Building Block (BB) across multiple projects and products which are executed in multiple regions. Hence need an overarching lead to secure different P/Ls concur to the same target. ECPO is a process that involves multiple functions, including as example but not limited to contract management, engineering, procurement, manufacturing, hence good skills of communication and influencing are needed. In this initiative the focus is on BB design, manufacturing/assembling cost reduction, COPQ (Cost of Poor Quality) reduction.



  • Secure Technical and Commercial info on the targeted BB are collected for the diagnostic phase.

  • Organize the workshops with core team + PM, Ops, Proc, Eng, Qua.

  • Pull the project resources into the workshops, including suppliers where needed.

  • Foster idea generation through application of ECPO methodology during workshops.

  • Participate in Supplier and Cross Functional workshops targeted to identify cost reductions through Design to Cost, Design to Manufacturing & Design to Value.

  • Collect ideas, organize, cluster, prioritize, maintain ideas progress list (cross-function PDCA).

  • Obtain Should Cost to support comparison between different solutions.

  • Prepare business cases & negotiation package for Suppliers.

  • Request quotations/expedite buyers RfQ.

  • Propose common best practice across projects/regions by pushing them into the project teams.

  • Liaise with cross functional teams to identify and recommend design modification.

  • Secure proper resources are pulled as required, either from internal or form external partners.

  • Coordinate testing of new parts & assemblies & and review test results.

  • Expedite the implementation of the idea (feasibility from Engineering, confirmation of costs from Suppliers, consolidation of business case, testing, final implementation in Engineering and Supplier, update of Production processes).

  • Secure the correct value of the savings are recorded into the projects’ financial tools.



  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.

  • 8 years of experience post graduate working experience either in Project Management, Bids, Sales, Contracts & Legal, Procurement, Engineering or Operations.

  • Proven performance (i.e. PMP, 360° feedback).

  • Project Management experience.

  • Fluent in English and French.
