KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  1. Manage purchase contracts for projects & operation within scope
  • Define purchasing strategy jointly with Operations regarding on-time-delivery
  • Modify quantity and technical modification of the order continuously according to project needs
  • Ensure supplier’s quality is according to technical specifications and partner with Quality and Supplier Performance team to minimize non-conformity costs
  • Collaborate with other functions to ensure project success by representing Procurement at meetings and work autonomously to resolve problems, but bring to management’s attention if required
  • Assessing risk in the supply and align with Procurement Project Manager on acceptable level of risk of the project and take it into consideration for the commercial negotiation with the supplier

 

  1. Develop supplier ‘best in class’ performance
  • Maintain and develop relationship with suppliers
  • Negotiate with suppliers and issue purchase orders
  • Administer terms and conditions with suppliers

 

  1. Manage material cost reduction activities
  • Explore continuously material cost reduction opportunities
  • Implement saving initiatives at site

 

REQUIREMENTS

 

  • Engineering degree, Commercial degree with technical background
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience in an industrial environment (railway industry is a plus)
  • Good knowledge of commodities, global partnership agreements, and global lead buyer network
  • Ability to work efficiently in a challenging, evolving environment.
  • Results oriented, resilient, pragmatic
  • Excellent communication skills and diplomacy, being able to convince and influence the stakeholders
  • English Language Skills Mandatory
