Your future role 


As Installation Supervisor you will supervise the onsite activities of all Alstom staff and contractors whilst undertaking allocated tasks. Undertake site monitoring, support allocated resource with activities with experience and technical solutions. The Installation Supervisor will undertake planning of works, production of site paperwork, compliance with company, project and client requirements. Monitor the site for safe working practices and potential risks, challenging poor behaviours and unsafe acts.
The role of Installation Supervisor will report on a day-to-day basis to the Installation Manager and may be responsible for numerous teams of installation staff and contractors.
They will liaise professionally with internal project staff and the clients’ representatives as required.

 

We’ll look to you for:  


•    Effectively communicate task requirements to staff.
•    Ensure the work is actioned as planned
•    Deliver the project programme to time, quality and resource plan.
•    Responsible for quality of workmanship
•    Identify and propose possessions, contribute to the planning process & attend possession meetings when required.
•    Motivate staff, including subcontractors.
•    Ensure staff have the required plant and equipment fit for use.
•    Identify variations to Signalling Installation Manager  
•    Support of Health, Safety & Environmental requirements
•    Complete material ordering documentation as required.
•    Process work sheets/ Support the production and review WPP and TBS
•    Carry out site audits/ inspections, Tool inspection, Vehicle inspection.
•    Work towards Installation Manager IRSE License.
•    Liaise with the customer as required.
•    Carry out team briefing and debriefing.
•    Carry out risk assessments.
•    Ensure effective performance of staff.
•    Supervise installation work as directed by the Manager and Project programme.
•    Complete required paperwork for planned work
•    Take responsibility for staff nominated as being under your control, including subcontractors.
•    Effectively communicate task requirements to staff and interfaces
•    To ensure that work is completed compliant to the contract and to group standard.
•    Undertake works within limitations identified within ATW.
•    Effectively communicate task requirements to peers and interfaces
•    Identify potential process improvements and make recommendations for implementation.
•    Ensure safe methods of working are maintained.
•    Attendance at arranged Technical briefing sessions.
•    Attendance at monthly / specific Safety briefings, project and Alstom
•    Responsibility for tools and equipment issued.
•    To comply with and undertake all relevant Environment, Health & Safety measures and activities.

•    In-depth underpinning knowledge of group & line standards
•    Commercial awareness
•    Knowledge of HSE requirements
•    Appreciation of design & test
•    To hold any necessary certification that the client deems essential.
•    Installation manager Licence
