We are looking for a Technical Leader - Method & Manufacturing Department based in Copenhagen.
The Scandinavian countries have set an ambitious and radical goal to upgrade the totality of their railway network. Alstom is there to set this ambition to life and has started the deployment of state-of-the-art ERTMS level 2 signalling technology both on the trackside infrastructure and train fleets. This technology will drastically improve the passenger experience by reducing the number of delays and increasing transport capacity.
What will you do?
As a Technical Leader, you will be responsible for creating and overseeing the implementation of installation processes to integrate the Alstom solution into existing passenger trains, locomotives, or maintenance machines. This includes developing and executing installation design activities such as site surveys, technical documentation review, technical specifications, and method statements. You will be in charge to follow a group of method design engineers and work closely with other departments to ensure seamless integration of our products and solutions into existing infrastructure. Your expertise and guidance will be instrumental in delivering high-quality, efficient, and sustainable mobility solutions for our clients.
Key Responsibilities For this Role Include:
- 1. Expertise Spreading:
- Provide technical support to the Installation Engineering team, ensuring that the team is equipped with the necessary knowledge and resources to deliver projects successfully
- Support team members in achieving quality, cost, and delivery targets (QCD).
- Participate in site detailed surveys with cross functional team to collect train data and provide technical insights and recommendations.
- Review technical documents related to method deliverables, ensuring that required quality standards and technical specification are met.
- Support on-site installation activities by providing technical guidance.
- Focus on innovation and demonstrate initiative and independence in prioritizing, planning, and executing assigned tasks.
- 2. Front-Liner in Operations:
- Take cross-fleet responsibilities for allocated projects.
- Lead SIM (short interval meeting) sessions to gather weekly feedback.
- Escalate blocking points to appropriate stakeholders and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Identify mitigation plans as needed to secure project execution and delivery performance (EDP).
- Maintain direct contact with Fleet Leaders and Site Supervisors during project rollouts, ensuring that project goals and targets are met.
- 3. Development Boost:
- Define and promote good methodologies and best practices through benchmarking with the Alstom network.
- Take responsibility for continuous improvement initiatives, including digitalization projects (Augmented Reality, BIM, Digital Work Instructions, etc.).
- Strive for optimization of engineering processes by identifying and eliminating waste and inefficiencies
- Maintain direct contact with Managers to define department strategy and contribute to the overall success of the organization.

The position is in Copenhagen but the position require some travels to other sites in the Nordics.
Who are you?
- Qualifications:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, with a strong background on process development.
- Proficiency in both written and oral English.
- Work Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as process development engineer in the railway/automotive or similar industries.
- Knowledge of Mechanical Design fundamentals and CAD tools (such as Inventor, Catia, SolidWorks,Bim360 etc.) is a plus
- Proficiency with Microsoft office package (VBA knowledge is a plus)

- Team-oriented personality with a problem-solving mindset
- Excellent presentation, analytical, and communication skills
- Leadership skills
- Ability to adapt to a changing environment and handle multiple priorities
