Traffic Management System is a subsystem providing a set of advanced features for railway traffic automation and regulation. It is the main Traffic Control Centre subsystem and can be scope of standalone project or  platform level contract. These systems provide railway operators advanced automation and decision support functions  to plan, regulate, automate and optimize the train traffic circulation on complex network. These systems are based on special software application, normally running on IT infrastructure/datacenter specially designed for business continuity and mission critical application.

Could you be the full-time System Application Engineer – Train Planning System in Copenhagen we’re looking for?

 

Your future role

As a System application Engineer, your main focus will be on the Train Planning System (TPS) supplier and its integration into the Traffic Management System (TMS) roadmap.

 

Main Responsibilities:

With the TPS supplier:

  • Verify requirement designs before the kick-off of TPS development.
  • Ensure delivery of TPS releases and verify test coverage.
  • Verify all contractual documents of the TPS release.
  • Participate in TPS Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT).
  • Inject and resolve new Defects and Change requests from the Customer and/or the Project/Product.

 

With the Project/Product:

  • Analyze and confirm input requirements to the system and sub-system design team for specification and interface Control Description (ICD).
  • Support the Design Application team for TPS data preparation production and test.
  • Ensure delivery and integration of TPS releases for the TMS Baseline.
  • Participate in the Project/Product joint CCB when required.
  • Support the Project during Partial and Factory Test Acceptance (PAT and FAT) of the TMS solution.

 

With the customer:

  • Ensure analysis and confirmation of TPS defects.
  • Manage and maintain up-to-date customer Defects management tool, RQM.
  • Participate in weekly customer Change Management Board (CMB).
  • Support the Maintenance team on the analysis and categorization of TPS events reported from production.

All about you

  • Degree in Engineering (Electronics and Electrical, Instrumentation, Electronics and Communication) or relevant.
  • 3 years of professional experience in the Railway Signalling domain, minimum, knowledge of railway safety standards.
  • Hands-on experience in Mainline/Urban/Passenger and Transit railway signalling and any of the signalling subsystems such as train control systems, wayside interlocking and supervision systems, and Mainline/Urban Traffic Planning and Management Systems worked on Signalling Design including Installation, Testing, and Commissioning.
  • Fluent in English reading, writing, and speaking.
