Do you want to join a world leader in the railway sector? Alstom Denmark is looking for an ambitious Site Director. As a Site Director you will manage overall activities under responsibility of both Copenhagen and Hvidovre sites with the objective to deliver finance and projects performances. A strategist and a leader who is able to steer the site to the most profitable direction while also implementing global vision, mission and long term goals. The goal is to ensure the company is constantly moving towards fulfilling its short-term and long-term objectives and does not diverge from its strategic guidelines.


The Site Director will report directly to the Country MD and the location of the job will be Copenhagen, Denmark.



Main tasks and responsibilities:


•    Implements company policies successfully and develops strategic plans in the site.
•    Contributes to deliver projects and country financial performance including sales, orders, profit and cash.
•    Manages workload accurately in line with Projects and Regional Centre strategy.
•    Adjusts timely capacity to workload through recruitment and contracting schemes.
•    Identifies core competencies and defines operational goals.
•    Ensures safety and security co-ordination for Alstom employees, assets and data in the sites.
•    Ensures that a crisis management system is developed and maintained.
•    Ensures that the Ethics & Compliance policy is applied in the country in respect of all business transactions and of personal integrity.
•    Ensures Site cohesion, constructive Social relations, compliance with EHS regulations.
•    Ensures Office facilities are well managed and sponsor flexible way of working to optimize work environment.
•    Manages Engineering activities for projects from Design to Homologation.
•    Manages Field Operations (installation, Test & Commissioning) activities for projects. 
•    Manages Supply Chain activities for projects.
•    Delivers Manufacturing targets (operational and financial).
•    Implements and ensure right application of Quality Management System. 
•    Ensures that Standard Processes are deployed.



Skills and education:


We require a degree in Engineering/ Technology and, or Master of Business Administration, in addition 15 years of experience in Railways industry (ideally Signaling business) with at least 10 years of relevant experience in General Management and managing a P&L.


•    Proven track record of managing a large, multi-level team.
•    Extensive experience of stakeholder management.
•    Developed networks in a large multinational organization.
•    Comfortable working in a multicultural environment.


As a person you are an excellent problem solver with good oragnisational and planning skills, an innovator and a great leader with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
