 Alstom,

Is the global leader in smart and sustainable mobility

We are looking for a Project Verification and Validation Engineer to be based in Copenhagen.

What will you do?

You will be a member of the V&V (Verification and Validation) team which defines the integration and validation test strategy and carries out the testing activities on a complex signalling project.

Denmark has set an ambitious goal to upgrade its entire mainline railway network with state-of-the-art ERTMS level 2 baseline 3 signalling technology. Alstom is helping to turn this ambition to reality and has started deploying the new signalling technology on the trackside infrastructure and onboard the train fleets. This technology is stable and secure, and it will drastically improve the passenger experience by reducing the number of delays and increasing transport capacity.

Your key responsibilities?
- Support the deployment of application software on target equipment in test environments and configure simulators.
- Run the in-house system integration and validation tests on the system test environment in the customer laboratory.
- Support customer test activities
- Analyse test results (based on observations collected during the test and the evaluation of logs collected from the equipment under test).
- Defect reporting and follow-up with designers responsible for the different sub-systems.

Working with Alstom will give you a unique possibility to gain in-depth knowledge of the technical aspect of our business. This is a company where you can make a career and development opportunities are part of our company culture.

Do you have what it takes?

Who are you?

- You graduated with a Bachelor or Master’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science.
- 3 to 5 years in designing or testing railway signaling systems. It is also desirable to have a training or a specific experience within railway, such as Traffic Management System (TMS) or European Train Control System (ETCS)
- You have a basic understanding of networking (VLANs, subnetting, IP routing) and datacenter architecture. CCNA certification is considered as a plus.
- You have an analytical mind and have experience in troubleshooting.

You don’t need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us. We guarantee that when you step onto one of our trains with your friends or family, you’ll be proud. If you’re up for the challenge, we’d love to hear from you!
