Your future role:

Take on a new challenge and apply your Project Contract Management expertise in a new cutting-edge field.

 

As a Project Contract Manager (PrCM) you will be a key member of the project team, working in close collaboration with the Project Manager and core project team.  You will provide guidance and leadership to develop, implement, and drive proactive contract/claim management and risk mitigation strategies in accordance with Alstom’s business objectives, including extensions of time (EoTs), variations orders, and contract amendments.  You must ensure to keep proper records and file preparation in support of robust claim files.

 

Moreover, for Dispute Arbitration Board (DAB) or a similar non-litigation mechanism for dispute resolution, you are required to prepare DAB files and referral notes along with substantial evidence and active participation in the process before the adjudication board or similar board.

 

Furthermore, for litigation process handled by Legal Team, you will support the Legal team and/or external counsel in the process.

We will look to you for:

  • Ensure that the application of the Contracts, Claims and Insurance Management Manual (CCIM) and Alstom governance are well documented.
  • Analyze the contract to build and drive implementation of the Contract/Claim Management Strategy Plan, as well as keep it updated and communicated with the project team on a quarterly basis.
  • Monitor work towards contract obligations, including support to the monitoring of project schedule to achieve contractual milestones.
  • Manage insurance policies and keep their validity in collaboration with Regional Insurance Manager. Keep the Regional Insurance Manager updated regarding all changes/deviations to insurance policies.
  • Notify customers/partners and any third-party regarding claims/counterclaims and manage all elements and supporting documentation for claims/counterclaims negotiations.
  • Monitor customer/partner requests for variations / change orders / extensions of time. Provide a follow-up to drive to a transactional closure, including updates to the VO/VR/Delay registers, preparation of the commercial offer, and preparing associated contractual letters for relevant stakeholder approval.
  • Reports about the contract management and claims activities to the project, Legal, and Contract Management teams.
  • Provide training on contract/claim management to key project stakeholders, including project management, finance, engineering, and sourcing.

  • Graduated with a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in Law, Engineering, Finance, Technical, Economics or business sciences is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of Contract/Claim Management experience (preferred) / Project Management
  • Strong ability to read and interpret contractual documents, including terms and conditions, planning, and technical specifications 
  • Good knowledge in understanding of project finance and the impact of contract/claim management on project profitability.                                                                 
  • Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations.
  • Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in writing, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Willingness and ability to be creative and bring forward new ideas and innovations.
  • Must communicate with precision and transparency.

 

To perform this job successfully, you should have knowledge of Contract Management systems; Project Management software; Excel Spreadsheet software and Microsoft Office Word Processing software.
