Do you want to join a world leader in the railway sector? Alstom Denmark looking for an ambitious Project Planner - Engineer.

 

Denmark has set an ambitious and radical goal to upgrade the totality of its mainline network. Alstom is there to set this ambition to life and has started the deployment of state-of-the-art ERTMS level 2 baseline 3 signaling technology both on the trackside infrastructure and train fleets. This technology will drastically improve the passenger experience by reducing the number of delays and increasing transport capacity.

 

As a Project Planner - Engineer, you will be responsible for the synchronization with the client projects in order to plan the Engineering department activities to meet projects deadlines.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

To be the leader for the Denmark Engineering department activities schedule:

 

  • Establish and monitor the schedule based on the client projects deadline, the scope of the Denmark installation team and the level of capacity in the team
  • Follow up for the progress with the Installation supervisors
  • To have weekly assessment of the forecasted works
  • To have weekly monitoring of the level of capacity in the team
  • Identify and alert in case of deviation to the initial commitment
  • Propose recovery plan in case of deviation
  • To have regular synchronization meetings with the Project planning managers
  • Ensure a monthly update of the Installation schedule in the Alstom internal scheduling tool Ody-C
  • Monitor the Installation reporting KPI
  • Lead regular schedule sessions with the Denmark installation team to share the physical progress and the forecasted activities

 

As a member of the Alstom planning community:

 

  • Contribute to the return of experience (REX) and improvements, to share best practices, PERT, schedule templates.
  • Apply the Alstom Project Scheduling Process

 

Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
  • Junior project management (+2 years) with industrial background
  • Skills in MS Project
  • Progress monitoring through KPIs (S-curves)
  • Is aware about working with internal processes: Tenders, Projects, Engineering, Industrial, Sourcing, Supply Chain, Quality and their interfaces
  • Rigorous, structured and sense of anticipation
  • Good communications and interpersonal skills, team worker
  • Be able to challenge internal project team and highly proactive in proposing solutions.
  • Comfortable in an international and a multi-cultural environment.

 

Language Requirement:

 

Excellent in speaking and writing in English.
