Could you be the full-time Onboard Design Department Head we’re looking for?
Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your leadership and engineering expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside motivated and collaborative teammates.
You'll drive impactful engineering initiatives and foster a culture of continuous improvement. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (such as project execution, HR, and tender management teams), promote Alstom’s values, and ensure the successful deployment of processes, methods, and tools, and much more.
You’ll specifically take care of defining and implementing the engineering vision (team profiles, skills, and technological evolution), but also ensuring team alignment with organizational goals.
We’ll look to you for:

Defining and implementing the engineering vision to enhance team competitiveness and technological evolution

Setting clear team goals, delegating tasks, and establishing deadlines

Providing support to project/program execution and promoting Alstom’s core values
-
Motivating, training, and developing resources in collaboration with HR
-
Recognizing high performance and fostering the growth of World Class Engineering (WCE) experts
-
Ensuring the deployment and continuous improvement of processes, methods, and tools
-
Managing workload forecasts and capacity while aligning with business strategies and objectives
-
Reviewing tender designs and documentation as per strategy relevance
-
Contributing to the achievement of quality, cost, and delivery (QCD) targets

Degree in Engineering or a related field

Experience or understanding of team leadership and engineering project management

Knowledge of process improvement methodologies

Familiarity with workload forecasting and resource planning

A certification in project management or leadership would be advantageous

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment
