Do you want to join a world leader in the railway sector? Alstom Denmark looking for an ambitious Method Design Engineer.


Denmark has set an ambitious and radical goal to upgrade the totality of its mainline network. Alstom is there to set this ambition to life and has started the deployment of state-of-the-art ERTMS level 2 baseline 3 signaling technology both on the trackside infrastructure and train fleets. This technology will drastically improve the passenger experience by reducing the number of delays and increasing transport capacity.


We are now looking for a Method Design Engineer to support our projects in Denmark. The location is Copenhagen, but the position might require some travelling to other sites in the Nordics.


As a Method Design Engineer, you will prepare and execute installation design activities including site survey report, technical documentation, technical specifications and method statements.


Key Responsibilities For this Role Includes:


  • Participating to the site detailed survey by; collecting the data of the design baseline (dismounting parts, LOTO, removing parts) and defining the routing and the length of the harnesses.
  • Creation of the installation procedure; define the work instructions needed for the IP, distribute the workload to the team members and to release the IP.
  • To Follow up of the FoC; going on site to follow up with the installation team and to catch all the data for the AS installed baseline.
  • Issuing Fire and Smoke - REACH report; providing the data to BGL, following up on the activities and to release the report.
  • To create the installation control report template.
  • Define good methodology/best practice for installation activities.
  • Develop detailed Bill of Materials (BOM) for specific Installation activities.



  • Master’s degree in engineering school / university, specialization or oriented in electrical or/and mechanical design or specialization or oriented in system of production / method / industrial process.
  • Previous experience working within rail is an advantage
  • Knowledge of INVENTOR/CATIA


Language Requirement:


Excellent in speaking and writing in English.
