Do you want to join a world leader in the railway sector? Alstom Denmark looking for an ambitious Electrical Design Engineer.


The DK Signaling projects will carry out the renewal of 800 trains with the ERTMS technology with numerous classes of trains (passenger trains, freight trains, works trains and locomotives) and the deployment of the trackside ERTMS level 2 technology on the eastern part of the country. In parallel there is an increasing need to support tenders in the Nordic countries. The project contains the tests and commissioning of equipment in and along the track in East Denmark, Fuenen and Sealand.


The Installation design activity will be performed in our design office in Copenhagen, center of expertise. The electrical engineer will be part of strong, multicultural and dynamic team which is looking for you to take big and exciting challenges.

You will report directly to electrical department manager.


Key Responsibilities


  • Perform survey on site to capture data inside the train and define the electrical technical solution.
  • Review electrical principles from the system team.
  • Produce electrical schematics under E3S.
  • Define and industrialize harnesses and terminal board.
  • Ensure all the electrical design constraints of each solution are respected.
  • Support the installation team during fitment of the solution you have designed based on the survey inputs.
  • Report any failure of the electrical solution during the train fitment to address corrective action in short term period.
  • Be a proposition strength for continuous improvements topics.
  • Exchange daily with colleagues in a multi-sites organization.




  • Master’s degree in Engineering preferably in electrical domain.
  • Knowledge of railways world or train industry is an asset.
  • Knowledge of E3S is an asset.
  • L-AUS certificate is an asset (incumbent will be asked to pass the trainings)
  • 3 years of experience within an electrical or engineering industry



Language Requirement:


  • Excellent in speaking and writing in English.
  • Any extra language is an asset.
