Could you be the full-time Maintenance Operations Manager in Copenhagen we’re looking for?
Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your operations expertise in the sustainable mobility field of trains. You’ll work alongside dedicated and innovative teammates.
You'll play a crucial role in mobilising the maintenance operations for the new DSB IC5 trains commencing in 2027, ensuring efficient and high-quality service delivery. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (Project Management, Fleet Management, Industrial, Supply Chain, Procurement, Engineering), plan and set up the maintenance operation organisation, and much more.
You’ll specifically take care of building up the maintenance operation organisation, but also perform key activities for the mobilisation of the maintenance operation.
We’ll look to you for:
- Managing activities on-site (Maintenance, Repairs, Overhauls, Warranty repairs) and coordinating all site functions, such as interfaces to planning, engineering, supply chain, and industrialisation.
- Building and managing production teams, including accountability, monitoring, and controlling production on a shift-by-shift basis.
- Managing staffing requirements for planned workloads to ensure flexibility and high levels of productivity, optimising organisation and skills/training.
- Ensuring production targets, quality standards, and safety requirements are achieved through effective execution of the production plan and resource management.
- Ensuring trains are delivered on time in a safe, clean, and fully functional condition to our customers.
- Maintaining depot infrastructure, equipment, and tools to required standards in a cost-effective manner.
- Identifying and managing site investments (budget, training, facilities) and overseeing the site investment program.
- Setting industrial targets and managing performance improvement and efficiency plans.
- Collaborating with fleet management to plan depot operations, ensuring customer, safety, and reliability objectives are met within resource and facility constraints.
- Proactively identifying areas for improvement through analysis of production/service operation reports and customer feedback, and initiating action to ensure enhancements.
- Managing relationships with sub-contractors and customers in collaboration with other parts of the organisation.
All about you
We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:
- Proven experience in production management with a track record of high standards and productivity.
- Experience managing a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience or understanding of the railway industry or other transportation/travel industries.
- Strong initiative-taking and collaborative skills to achieve common goals.
- Excellent communication, listening, presentation, and writing skills.
- Fluency in English, proficiency in Danish/Swedish would be an asset
Things you’ll enjoy
Join us on a life-long transformative journey – the rail industry is here to stay, so you can grow and develop new skills and experiences throughout your career. You’ll also:
