We’ll look to you for:
• Completing inspections, maintenance tasks and corrective repairs on engines, braking systems and running gear
• Diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical faults
• Operating locomotives and passenger coaches as part of equipment movement activities
• Using asset management systems to document work orders and maintain accurate technical records
• Supporting additional duties as outlined by the collective bargaining agreement
All about you
We value passion and attitude over experience. Here are some skills and experiences that will help you succeed:
• A high school diploma/GED and a passion for mechanical or electrical work
• Experience or understanding of diesel engines, mechanical systems or electrical troubleshooting
• Knowledge of reading blueprints and interpreting circuit schematics
• Familiarity with PC-based tools, including Microsoft Office
• A Valid Driver’s License
• Ability to obtain a Qualified Maintenance Person (QMP) certification

• Work in an active, field‑based environment
• Steer your career across functions, specializations and locations
• Benefit from ongoing learning and professional development
• Access a competitive hourly wage of $28.68/hr and robust union‑supported benefits
You don’t need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us. We guarantee that when you step onto one of our trains with your friends or family, you’ll be proud. If you’re up for the challenge, we’d love to hear from you!
