Could you be the full-time Site Production Head in Coimbatore, TN we’re looking for?


Your future role

  • Take on a new challenge and apply your manufacturing and leadership expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative and forward-thinking teammates.
  • You'll drive operational excellence and contribute to delivering high-quality manufacturing solutions. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (such as industrialization, sourcing and logistics, quality, and HR), implement lean manufacturing strategies, and ensure safety and environmental compliance, among other responsibilities.
  • You’ll specifically take care of managing production objectives, workforce planning, and continuous improvement initiatives, but also oversee the deployment of industrial strategies and new product introductions.

 

We’ll look to you for:

  • Successfully deploying best practices to achieve world-class excellence in production, including lean manufacturing implementation.
  • Defining and managing production organization (planning, manufacturing, testing, logistics, quality inspection, etc.).
  • Contributing to process improvement during serial production and capturing return of experience (REX) from the shop floor.
  • Ensuring workforce management and planning as per site sales and operations plans.
  • Maintaining a safe working environment and promoting environmental compliance.
  • Providing effective mentoring and coaching to team members to achieve functional objectives.
  • Driving continuous improvement in productivity and quality while managing department KPIs.
  • Supporting repair activities and addressing customer-related issues.
  • Leading the implementation of APSYS (Alstom Production System) within the manufacturing domain.

  • Education: BE in ECE/EEE/Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum 18 years of experience in assembly production from product manufacturing industries within OEM or Tier 1 industries.
  • Experience in mechanical, electrical, and electronic equipment is essential.
  • Knowledge of traction drives or switchgear products is desirable.
  • Proficiency in lean manufacturing tools is essential.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, effective communication, and decision-making abilities.
  • Experience in quality management systems, environmental management systems, and industrial safety practices.
  • Critical competencies in EHS, product knowledge, process and methods knowledge, lean management, people management, analytical and problem-solving skills, and a focus on quality.
