Could you be the full-time Site Planning Manager in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu; we are looking for?
Your future role
- Take on a new challenge in industrial planning within a dynamic, innovative environment, working with collaborative and forward‑thinking teams.
- Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (such as manufacturing, supply chain, procurement, and finance), manage the Industrial Planner team (5+ members), and ensure the successful execution of key planning processes, and much more.
- Play a key role in aligning demand and resources to deliver cost‑efficient, high‑quality, and on‑time solutions while optimizing people, machines, and cash.
- Build industrial plans, analyze operational and workforce capacity, provide site‑level planning visibility, manage the Industrial Planning team, and ensure compliance with Alstom standards and safety rules.
We’ll look to you for:
- Drive quarterly Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) and Single Integrated Operations Planning (SIOP), ensuring alignment across tender teams, project teams, and site strategies, and executing agreed decisions
- Analyze operations workload versus workforce capacity, identify bottlenecks, and mitigate risks impacting On-Time Delivery
- Lead and support the Industrial Planning team (5+ members) in daily operations and critical planning topics
- Ensure timely reporting of Work in Progress, Finished Goods, and Key Performance Indicators.
- Maintain accuracy and integrity of data in Enterprise Resource Planning systems and Core Planning Tools
- Proactively resolve production delays and contribute to the Alstom Performance System (APSYS) industrial planning roadmap
- Apply and enforce Environment, Health, and Safety standards across all planning and operational activities

- Education: Engineering Degree
- Experience: 14–18 years in Production Planning within railway components or electrical equipment manufacturing, with proven capability to manage 70+ concurrent manufacturing projects.
- Knowledge of End-to-End (E2E) Production Planning processes and their impact on ERP systems & Proficiency in Core Planning Tools, ERP systems, and Excel.
- Innovative, proactive, and solution-oriented mindset.
- Customer-focused approach with a strong sense of urgency.
- Ability to synthesize and address critical issues effectively.
- Capacity to propose and implement innovative ways of working.
