Could you be the full-time EPU Manager in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, we’re looking for?


Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your leadership and lean manufacturing expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative and dynamic teammates.

You'll play a key role in driving operational excellence and continuous improvement in our Motor Assembly production unit. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with cross-functional teams (such as supply chain, quality, and engineering), train and coach team members, and ensure the smooth execution of production plans, and much more.

You’ll specifically take care of deploying APSYS tools (Alstom Performance System) across the shopfloor, but also managing workforce planning and driving SQCD (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery) performance.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Deploying APSYS tools and methodologies to enhance production efficiency.

  • Training operators on manufacturing processes and self-inspection techniques.

  • Proactively planning and managing workforce requirements in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

  • Monitoring and driving SQCD performance metrics within the EPU.

  • Resolving internal and external quality issues through containment, root cause analysis, and QRQC/QC Story methodologies.

  • Tracking, analyzing, and improving SQCD KPIs through structured continuous improvement actions.

  • Ensuring timely issue escalation using appropriate tools and reporting systems.

  • Implementing product and process changes as required (CR/ECR/DR/Retrofit).

  • Driving issue closure and sustaining improvements through robust action plans.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Automobile, or related disciplines).

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in assembly industries such as automotive, railways, commercial vehicles, or other manufacturing sectors.

  • Proven experience in shopfloor team management.

  • Hands-on exposure to lean production systems and foundational supply chain concepts.

  • Knowledge of production and quality tools, including PFMEA, control plans, and work instructions.

  • Familiarity with PDCA, SWIP, and structured problem-solving methodologies.

  • Strong communication and coordination skills with cross-functional teams.

  • Awareness of OH&S regulations and production quality metrics.

  • Flexibility to work in a shift-based schedule and availability to work 6 days a week.
