we are looking for a Procurement Operations Manager



Scope of the Role


The Procurement Operations Manager will manage and coordinate multiple Procurement and Supply Chain operational teams across multiple sites/countries and will ensure achievement of Service Level Agreements and Objectives. Will act as business Partner to Procurement & Supply Chain Head of Regions and Cluster Leads and to GPC counterparts.

Will lead a team of people managers ensuring recruitment, development, and management of talents and will also manage the Performance (PMP), providing regular feedback and supporting team members.

Will act as member of the GPC management team, contributes to GPC Business strategy development & deployment and coordinates/sponsor different projects (continuous improvements projects, people related projects, etc.).




  • Accountable for the smooth delivery of procurement and supply chain processes and work packages in their regions in line with agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and agreed objectives;
  • Manage resources allocation based on considerations of business risk, commercial aspects and urgency and in full alignment with sites priorities;
  • Develop the scope of services transferred and manage the changes required to deliver continuous improvement in quality, while maintaining or improving the efficiency in terms of HC and costs;
  • Acts as a 2nd level of escalation, participate in all critical suppliers’ meetings to ensure resolution;
  • Best in class Procurement and Supply chain team at all levels;
  • Drive team performance and behavior, ensuring they are customer focused and performance oriented;
  • Attract, motivate, and retain talent, continuously develop skills and competencies;
  • Ensure succession planning for the management roles & critical positions in the teams;
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders to manage expectations and improve cooperation across GPC organization and the business;
  • Proactive in seeking feedback on the team’s performance, develop and execute action plans to continually improve stakeholder satisfaction levels;
  • Drive the teams to deliver operational and process improvements through lean approach and techniques;
  • Ensure the effective monitoring of team`s performance and relevant KPIs and dashboards;
  • Act as Subject Matter Expert in wider Procurement projects or initiatives and take ownership for project deliverables assigned to the team;



Requirements for the role


  • Engineering Degree or Business Degree or similar complemented by a demonstrated track record;
  • At least 5 years of work experience, Leadership skills, Strong Customer Service background, Proven large scale People Management skills (ideally 40-50+ employees);
  • Experience in supply chain and logistics;
  • Knowledgeable of SAP systems;
  • Strong Negotiation/Influencing skills, Advanced Communication and presentation skills in English (French would be an advantage).
