Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your customer-facing, systems-oriented, and solution-driven expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll report to the Train System Metier Manager (TSMM) and work alongside engaged, collaborative, and technically skilled teammates.

As a Technical Customer Interface, you’ll act as the bridge between the customer and the remote development team, ensuring that the product being developed meets contractual and regulatory requirements. You’ll be the technical front office representative, supporting the Chief of Development and serving as the voice of the customer within the project.

You’ll specifically take care of organizing technical meetings, clarifying requirements, and ensuring seamless integration of rolling stock, but also managing deviations and risks proactively.

We’ll look to you for:

Key responsibilities:

Act as the technical front office with the customer, representing the development team

Organize and lead technical meetings and reviews aligned with project schedules

Clarify and track customer requirements and ensure engineering solutions meet expectations

Support trade-off decisions and endorse them towards the customer

Monitor train-level operational effectiveness throughout the project lifecycle

Detailed responsibilities:

Coordinate with internal teams to ensure delivery of contractual technical commitments

Track and manage deviations and ensure proper documentation and approval as Variation Orders

Anticipate and mitigate risks that could impact customer satisfaction

Synchronize development with third parties to ensure seamless integration

Update and maintain the contractual baseline “as sold”

Participate in technical risk and opportunity management

Leverage best practices from metiers to enhance project efficiency

All about you

We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:

A Master’s degree in Engineering (System Engineering or PhD is a plus)

5+ years of experience in railway engineering or complex systems development

Strong understanding of requirements management, operability, and RAMS

Fluency in English, both written and spoken and excellent communication skills

Ability to build trust and foster collaboration across diverse stakeholders

Drive for results and problem-solving mindset

Experience in technical requirements management and customer engagement
