Could you be the full-time Power BI Developer in Cluj-Napoca, Romania we’re looking for?
Take on a new challenge and apply your supply chain knowledge and digitalization expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll report to Andrei TIRLA (Global Functions Support Operations Manager, Cluj-Napoca), and work alongside data driven, tool-oriented, continuous improvement mindset teammates.
This job is part of the Rolling Stock & Components Operations Management System organization, within the “central – corporate” team located in Saint-Ouen Headquarters – France.
Operations covers all the Alstom businesses: Rolling Stock & Components, Services, Signaling and Systems & Infrastructure, and the Supply Chain activities as well as the Industrial activities.
The Management System organization ensures end-to-end process consistency, competency development with coherent tools roadmap including Smart Operations.
Smart Operations is the industry 4.0 program for Alstom and is encompassing an innovative and digital transformation program called e-POP (Process & Operations Performance). Its objective is to harness all system-generated data available to improve operational efficiency (with fact-based decision-making process).
Full member of the project teams, your main mission will be:
- Understanding of business use cases
- Formalization of the need through specifications
- Data analysis and transformation
- Proposal of analysis and valuation models
- Implementation of new methodological and technological solutions for data processing
In addition, under the responsibility of the Business Intelligence & Data owner of the department, you will also be called upon for more cross-functional missions during which:
- You collect or identify the needs of operational customers (production, purchasing, transport, planning and supplies).
- You illustrate these issues using data and propose indicators highlighting the improvements to be made.
- You implement improvement projects with the operational teams in the field in complete autonomy.
In general, you will bring additional value to the Manufacturing and Supply Chain professions which will allow them to increase their operational and financial performance.

- Degree level qualification;
- Strong programming skills such as Power BI, Tableau, Qlik Sense, Qlik View ... and database management language (SQL)
- Analytical skills and ability to solve problems creatively
- Competence in data mining
- Competence in data extraction
- Ability to restore, highlight and explain its results
- Fluency in English
- Project management skills, knowledge of the operational world, and/or a real taste for data science would be a plus.
- Rigor, oral and written fluency
- Involvement and ability to work in a team
- Autonomy, agility and creativity
