Could you be the full-time International Transportation Analyst in Cluj-Napoca, Romania we’re looking for?

 

 

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your international transportation expertise in a new cutting-edge field and work alongside dedicated, proactive and value-oriented teammates.

 

You'll be part of the Alstom Global Transportation organization. Overseas Transport Control Tower-Europe (OTCT-E) is the department of Alstom Global Transportation in charge of exporting goods procured in Europe to Alstom sites located elsewhere in the world.

 

You will specifically be in a transport operations coordination capacity, contributing to the efficiency, sustainability and cost reduction of transport management from Europe to the world through value-added tools and processes, and help Alstom sites to get their parts according to Quality Cost Delivery (QCD) expectations.

 

We’ll look to you for:

  • Shipment Planning
    • Manage supplier delivery authorizations
    • Transport Request readiness check

 

  • Shipment Execution
    • International shipment preparation
    • Coordinate transport operations (road transportation & express shipments) ensuring process compliance
    • Proactively propose alternatives solutions to meet site needs and take immediate countermeasures in case of deviations from the initial plan
    • Provide transport costs visibility; track, target and eradicate extra costs, and non-quality costs
    • Shipment tracking
    • Check transport documentation compliance with processes and regulations

 

  • Quality Management - Operations continuous improvement
    • Run relevant analysis to identify process deviations / performance issues
    • Run root cause analysis
    • Propose corrective action plan

  • Degree level qualification;
  • Knowledge of international transportation;
  • Familiarity with Excel and ERP systems, preferably SAP;
  • Fluency in English (French or other language would be a plus);
  • Good communication, collaboration and analytical skills, initiative and autonomy;
  • Ability to work in a multicultural and multidisciplinary environment;
  • Ability to manage and prioritize own workload.
