Could you be the full-time Global Transportation Transformation Officer in Cluj-Napoca, Romania we’re looking for?

 

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your supply chain and data analysis expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll report to Sorin Iovu (Cluster Operations Manager, Cluj-Napoca), and work alongside dedicated, proactive and value-oriented teammates.

 

This job is part of the Alstom Global Supply Chain organization, within the Global Transportation team located in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. As part of the Global Transportation, you contribute to drive cost reduction, efficiency and sustainability in transportation management via value-added tools, processes. Within our team, you’ll be in charge of managing several projects & initiatives related to goods transportation.

 

 

We’ll look to you for:

Support deployment of Transportation transformation roadmap

o Be the Project Manager of transverse / cross functional initiatives

Lead project, coordinate effectively cross-functional project team, address roadblocks through risk mitigation and contingency planning, ensure strict adherence to timeline and communicate duly on progress

o Support project team on methodology, process and systems

o Contribute to other team member’s projects

Transportation Continuous Improvement

o Actively support the identification of new opportunities and the assessment of related business cases to fill in Global Transportation Transformation initiatives pipeline.

o For the initiatives under your supervision, ensure suggestion tracking and progress (suggestion tracker update, data accuracy, milestones completion, financial savings, adherence to timing)

o Provide support to all the other initiative owners to ensure project completion (adherence to timeline, savings, risk mitigation)

Build & Strengthen Transportation Network

o Share Sites feedback & expectations

o Contribute to Transportation network animation

Ensure clear, consistent & regular communication on initiatives & value captured

o Contribute to Communication plan (news, video, projects highlight etc.)

o Ensure Global Transportation Communication SharePoint coherency, update & accuracy

Ensure Performance consistency within Global Transportation

  • Degree level qualification related to supply chain, logistics, international transportation, business management, or associated discipline
  • Availability to travel inside & outside Europe
  • Knowledge of modern principles for efficient transportation management and project management
  • Experience in a relevant position
  • Knowledge of SAP; Office 365 (Power Automate, Power BI, Power Apps) is a plus
  • Fluency in English
  • Good communication, collaboration and analytical skills, initiative and autonomy
  • Ability to manage and prioritize own workload
