Your future role

You'll discover a complex business with complex accounting procedures and processes, where you can continuously learn and develop and create value add to our deliverables and tasks with your creative ideas. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (local accounting and reporting managers, controlling organizations, various finance and business functions), identifying risks and opportunities in terms of costs, gross margins and cash impact, sustaining the business strategy and overall transformation.

 

We’ll look to you for:

  • Preparing expense summary packs at site level by Business Center (BC) and Subdivisions for Actuals, Forecast, and Budget;
  • Performing over/under recovery analysis at site level for all functions;
  • Managing headcount and analyzing hours;
  • Preparing cost-related reports;
  • Analyzing accrual creation and consumption for all site functions;
  • Controlling and reporting Work package-related costs for all site functions;
  • Reviewing and analyzing variances between Budget, Forecast, and Actual figures, and providing commentary in monthly reports;
  • Conducting monthly headcount reviews with site directors and requesting necessary changes;
  • Coordinating and delivering monthly expense report reviews;
  • Performing cost overviews (e.g., checking bookings for monthly accruals/provisions);
  • Managing hours for Procurement and Supply Chain functions;
  • Managing workflows;
  • Reviewing expense reports;
  • Supporting Budget and Forecast cycles for all site functions;
  • Reviewing POH (Purchase Order History) with department heads for Budget/Forecast;
  • Preparing hourly rates and coefficients files for ERP upload;
  • Managing CAPEX expense Budget/Forecast;
  • Preparing Teranga reporting;
  • Analyzing direct hours: Budget vs. Actual;
  • Analyzing headcount: Budget vs. Actual;
  • Analyzing under/over recovery: Budget vs. Actual;
  • Reviewing data (cash, sales, GM, under/over) for Teranga pack submission and correcting errors;
  • Calculating month-end closing provisions;
  • Invoicing various intercompany transactions;
  • Tracking activities and reconciling hours in GSI, including error correction;
  • Reviewing working capital;
  • Reviewing hard inventory;
  • Analyzing tenders: Budget vs. Actual;
  • Preparing Monthly Business Reviews;
  • Participating in Tender Reviews;
  • Participating in Site Management Committee meetings;
  • Reporting overheads to budget owners;
  • Controlling costs and direct hours;
  • Controlling manhour entries;
  • Managing month-end closing, including accruals for parked invoices, cost center provisions, reclassifications, and corrections;
  • Managing recharge activities;
  • Handling group charges and fees;
  • Managing workflows (e.g., Purchase Order checks, Purchase Requisitions);
  • Maintaining allocation cycles;
  • Reporting POH;
  • Supporting audits;
  • Handling ad hoc requests.

 

All about you

  • Finance degree or any other relevant discipline (Finance / Business / Economics related);
  • 5+ years Experience in Finance/Accounting processes and systems;
  • Proficiency in the use of Excel and PowerPoint, knowledge of SAP is a plus;
  • Fluent in English;
  • Strong general business understanding and experience in complex multi-national organizations;
  • Previous experience in accounting roles(AP, AR, CM, Treasury, GL, CL);
  • Strong critical thinking and problem solving;
  • Communication & Teamwork inside and outside GFC;
  • Excellent time management and organizational ability;
  • Positive and proactive attitude, with resilience under pressure;
  • Strong communication abilities in handling time sensitive topics together with more senior positions (Local / Group);
  • Attention to Detail / Task Oriented Mindset;
  • Management of complex topics;
  • Comfort with financial data and ability to transform into clear/concise messages;  
  • Previous experience in Internal Control and Audit is a plus;
  • Another European language would be a plus;
  • Advanced tools experience is a plus (SAP GSI, Teranga, Qlikview, Polaris, Power Automate, Power Query).
