Could you be the full-time Consulting and Professional Services Senior Buyer for Alstom Headquarters we’re looking for?


Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your strategic procurement expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll report to Kelly Soulié, Consulting and Professional Services Commodity Manager (based in Saint Ouen).

You will get to work with teams across all company functions as well as our worldwide network of indirect procurement experts.

You’ll specifically take care of procurement for Finance & Tax, Sourcing & Supply Chain, Strategy, CSR, EHS, IP, Innovation (non-exhaustive list) Consulting and Professional Service, by implementing the proper strategies to ensure savings, panel compliancy rate, supplier excellence as well as smooth P2P process.


We’ll look to you to:

  • Show a strong involvement and implement Indirect Procurement commodity strategies on Consulting Services
  • Manage operational needs for HQ: full call for tender process (from supporting requesting teams with the drafting of specifications to launching request for proposals, negotiating on pricing and other contract terms and ensuring smooth P2P process)
  • Manage global panel providers (Prepare Business Reviews, set up Frame Agreements, etc.)
  • Be responsible for commodity QCDT and supplier performance management
  • Provide regular reporting on supplier performance reviews, process compliance, contract mapping, etc.
  • Support our Indirect Procurement network worldwide and ensure compliance with commodity strategy

  • Business School or University Master’s degree with specialization in Purchasing (prefferably)
  • Some significant experience in purchasing, ideally in indirect procurement
  • Some market knowledge of the commodity
  • Ability to negotiate contracts (understanding of legal clauses and their implications)
  • Fluent in English with international mindset
  • Excellent interpersonal skills (leadership, communication, ability to convince and work with top management)
  • Team spirit in a multicultural environment
  • Pragmatic and result oriented
  • Indirect procurement mindset
