Could you be the full-time Commodity Leader Logistics Services in Cluj-Napoca, Romania we’re looking for?
Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your strategic procurement expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll report to Vlad GLIGA (Commodity Manager, Cluj-Napoca), and work alongside dedicated Commodity Leads and Commodity Managers in the global domains categories.
Inside the Indirect Procurement department and hierarchically linked to Transportation Commodity Manager this role involves the purchasing of standard transportation to support global Supply Chain & Transportation services within ALSTOM footprint and Logistics Stakes.
The successful applicant will manage numerous internal and external stakeholders to develop Project Transportation projects requirements within Transportation & Logistics global perimeter and support Procurement strategies on transportation that deliver value for money and fit for purpose solutions.
We’ll look to you for:
- You will have to exchange information with following central, region & sites networks such as Global, Regional and Local Supply Chain, EHS & CSR, Indirect & Direct Procurement, Tender & Project Organizations, Finance/Legal/Procurement Efficiency, Quality (SQD)
- Coordinate and source Logistics Services in line with business objectives and according to ALSTOM procurement processes
- Manage RFQ’s, RFI’s and costings on Source to Contract basis
- Contribute to build the Commodity Strategy
- Animate the commodity maturity improvement plan
- Negotiate contracts and frame agreements with key suppliers
- Manage Supplier Panel in line with the global strategy
- Contribute to the commodity maturity improvement through audit support and continuous improvement programs
- Innovate with best practices proposal and leadership or implementation
- Be recognized as a business development facilitator and an added-value contributor
- Contribute to the transversal commodities strategy improvement and deployment
- Develop and share market constraints understanding
- Ensure Procurement project/service execution/influence by:
- Developing close network of internal and external stakeholders worldwide
- Working with internal stakeholders to align requirements with Procurement objectives
- Challenging technical specifications produced by stakeholders
- Implementing company CSR Strategy
- Bringing innovation through supplier selection and sustain supplier QCD performance
- Participating to Make or Buy decision process utilizing reference costing and market indicators
- Manage global negotiation for key projects securing savings in line with global targets
- Ensuring Procurement strategy application and alignment with processes and policy
- Makes sure that suppliers selected are compliant with ALSTOM Procurement rules

- Business School or Engineering school; MASTER in Purchasing (preferred)
- Relevant experience
- Experience with Transportation and Logistics, Supply Chain, Project Management
- Fluent level of English; French is an advantage
- International background is a must

- Strong sense of business acumen and analytical skills
- Strong leadership, communication and influencing skills
- Results, Service, and Customer-oriented
