Could you be the full-time Certification & Authorization Manager in Cluj-Napoca, Romania we’re looking for?
Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your project management in engineering expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll report to the Operations Manager based in Cluj-Napoca, and work alongside dedicated, hard-working, and fun teammates.
You'll interact closely with teams across the business (particularly engineering, project management, quality and so on), define and execute the Certification & Authorisation project plan for the intended product(s) to obtain and maintain the regulatory certifications and/or authorisations from a third party.
Day-to-day, you’ll ensure the awareness on certification and authorisation stakes in assigned project teams.
We’ll look to you for:
- Define the Certification & Authorization strategy of the vehicle(s), including quality, budget and planning (in consistency with the project planning) through the development of the Certification & Authorization management plan during project execution phase until the end of the warranty phase (possibly starting from tender phase).
- Lead the complete Certification & Authorization process up to the reception of the regulatory vehicle type certification, vehicle type authorization and/or vehicle authorization for placing on the market
- Report on project delivery Certification & Authorization KPIs as per project review cycle
- Obtain the necessary authorization to run tests on open tracks/public network
- Manage the tender/project regulations requirements baseline (e.g. TSIs, National Rules) and you support the engineering team to make sure that the requirements are understood and consistent with the contract
- Manage Certification engineer(s) and subcontractor(s) on project(s)
- Lead the selection process of independent assessors (e.g. Notified Body, Designated Body) with the procurement department
- Plan and consolidate the evidence documents to be submitted to independent assessors and relevant authorizing entities
- Support and challenge the project members in the definition of the certification/authorization evidence
- Make sure that all evidence is effectively demonstrated compliance before submission to the independent assessors
- Develop mutual understanding through regular alignment meetings with independent assessors you selected as well as with relevant authorities
- Follow-up applicable regulations as well as the referenced standards changes, and you communicate them
- Manage the modifications and the configuration(s) of the certified/authorized products with independent assessors and authority entities until the end of warranty phase or according to contractual arrangements.
- Provide Certification & Authorization expertise within Alstom organization
- Develop Alstom leadership in Certification & Authorization with other sites (Core Competence Network (CCN))
- Participate in the development and deployment of C&A methods and tools

Mandatory
- Experience in engineering projects (~3 years)
- High degree of accuracy, clear communication style
- Good experience with MS Office and reporting tools
- General knowledge of functional safety and validation
- General knowledge of standards and regulations
- Ability to foster communications between multiple stakeholders
- Ability for getting into new topics, for analysis, synthesis and for problem solving in technical environment
- Willingness to travel for project needs
- English (working level)
