Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your engineering leadership, strategic thinking, and customer-oriented expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll report to the Site Engineering Director or BTM Manager, and work alongside dedicated, collaborative, and innovative teammates.
As a Bid Technical Manager, you’ll lead the engineering activities for tenders, ensuring alignment with global target costs, budgets, and planning. You’ll be the key technical interface with customers, analyzing requirements and proposing optimal solutions that balance quality, cost, and delivery.
You’ll specifically take care of defining the engineering proposal and QCD commitments, but also identifying and mitigating technical risks to ensure successful tender outcomes.

Key responsibilities:
Functionally manage the engineering team allocated to the tender
Ensure seamless coordination with the Tender core team and internal engineering functions
Perform technical exchanges with customers and analyze their requirements
Define the best technical compromise to meet QCD targets
Establish and validate engineering planning, costing, and risk management plans
Deliver technical documentation for tender submission
Detailed responsibilities:
Identify technical gaps versus reference products and propose solutions
Ensure technical risks are covered by action plans agreed with Platforms and Metiers
Consolidate engineering outputs into an Engineering Assumption Pack
Secure validation from Site Engineering Director and Bid Manager
Maintain alignment between tender QCD and project QCD at FPR0

A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering
10+ years of experience in design and engineering
Strong knowledge of product architecture, train operation, and maintenance
Familiarity with Engineering development DFQ sequences and costing
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Fluency in English, both written and spoken
A customer-oriented mindset and ability to work cross-functionally
