Your future role


Step into a pivotal engineering role where your system expertise shapes the architecture and performance of complete train solutions. You’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and act as a technical reference point, ensuring that System Architecture Areas (SAA) and sub‑systems are defined, developed, verified, and integrated flawlessly.
You’ll lead engineering studies, specify system architectures at train level, and drive technical coordination with internal partners and external suppliers. Your work will directly influence system performance, safety, compliance, and reliability throughout the entire lifecycle — from design, through verification and validation, to revenue service.


Responsible for:

  • Performing technical requirement development, coming from reference and applicable documents from Metiers, Standards, Certification, Safety, Platform and Customer, then the developed requirements allocation to the various subsystems
  • Defining the Train System architecture, operational, capabilities and performance.
  • Ensuring consistency and compatibility between all the sub-systems,
  • Writing sub-system specification (RSL2, TPS) and, if needed sub-system architecture description (ADL2) according to train level system architecture.
  • Fill the “Entry “connector” to question the catalog of standard products.
  • Driving technical relationships with suppliers with close management of QCD commitments (CbC), risks & validation (including Design Reviews with suppliers).
  • Ensuring coordination between TxE / PU / Metiers on interfaces, performances, technical issues resolution during detailed design phase.
  • On TPM request, participating to technical meetings with customer in order to provide support.


Verification & Validation responsibilities:

  • Defining and performing the train‑level verification strategy with engineering, validation, and certification teams
  • Verifying system requirements and architecture design, including modelling and simulation activities
  • Supporting Train Lab activities
  • Preparing train‑level test specifications
  • Ensuring system integration, tuning, and supporting static and dynamic test execution
  • Contributing to certification and homologation activities when applicable

During revenue service:

  • Leading the resolution of technical issues from root‑cause analysis to modification and closure
  • Managing changes through the CCB process

QCD & Reporting:

  • Applying Engineering Metier rules and processes
  • Providing project‑level reporting (KPIs) and metier reporting (weekly updates)
  • Supporting risk mitigation, change order management, and QCD optimization
  • Providing Return on Experience (RoE) to foster continuous improvement


All about you

  • Master’s degree in engineering or equivalent technical education
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in railway engineering
  • Understanding of engineering, procurement, industrial, validation, and project processes
  • Strong analytical mindset and ability to switch between problem and solution viewpoints
  • Ability to convince, challenge, and be challenged constructively
  • Excellent coordination and communication skills with strong team spirit
  • Fluent business English
  • Readiness to travel as needed
