Your future role
Step into a key engineering position where you will contribute directly to the safety, reliability, and long‑term performance of our rail solutions. As a RAMS Engineer, you’ll perform critical analyses, produce high‑quality deliverables, and ensure full compliance with engineering processes and customer expectations.
In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with design, validation, project, and service teams, while maintaining technical coordination across internal and external stakeholders. Your analyses will guide technical decisions, support certification, and influence system performance throughout the entire product lifecycle

We’ll look to you for:
- Performing RAMS analyses according to applicable processes, instructions, and project commitments
- Delivering high‑quality RAMS documentation in line with QCD objectives
- Addressing comments from customers and independent assessment bodies (ISA, NoBo, DeBo, etc.)
- Contributing to system RAMS performance assessment and identifying necessary RAMS requirements early in the lifecycle
- Applying all Alstom/Engineering rules and processes, particularly those related to RAMS activities
- Reporting activity progress and escalating risks or issues to the Train/Sub‑system RAMS Engineer and management
- Challenging safety and reliability data to enhance the robustness and consistency of RAMS studies
- Developing a deep understanding of Alstom products to support safety assessment and identify improvement areas
- Adopting a product‑oriented mindset to support knowledge capitalisation and continuous RAMS performance improvement

- Background in Rolling Stock Engineering, Validation, Electrical or Electro‑mechanical Engineering, or RAMS analysis methods
- Ability to understand and interpret technical documentation
- Good communication and interpersonal skills for cross‑functional collaboration
- Strong time‑management skills and ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Structured, organised working style with a hands‑on approach
- Operational English proficiency in reading and writing
- Sense of ownership and ability to work proactively on technical topics
