Could you be the System Designer ONB  we’re looking for?

 

 

Your future role

 

We’ll look to you for:

1. Log Management:

  • Maintain and improve the existing solution:
  • Centralize logs on a dedicated server
  • Parse certain types of logs
  • Develop a simple web interface to assist the operator in sharing labeled logs on the server
  • Develop parsers for new types of logs

 

2. Database Management:

  • Manage and enhance the existing SQL database
  • Identify useful information in parsed logs and store it in the database

 

3. Log Analysis:

  • Define and calculate relevant Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Identify the signature (or pattern) of existing issues in our ticketing platform
  • Assist the expert in identifying the signature of new problems

 

4. Dashboard Development: 

  • Develop a dynamic dashboard using open-source Python tools (such as Streamlit or Plotly's Dash) to facilitate comprehensive log analysis
  • Ensure that the dashboard provides real-time information and user-friendly interfaces for effective monitoring and troubleshooting

 

5. Train Architecture Presentation:

  • Create a structured database of key features of the onboard architecture by extracting relevant information from the train's configuration. This aims to:
  • Analyze the diversity of configurations across projects
  • Provide more context to the logs and correlate issues between projects

 

6. Introduction to AI:

  • Create a chatbot as first-line support on our ticketing platform
  • Guide diagnostics of a problem based on the feedback from the ticketing platform
  • Assist in ticket creation and log sharing
  • Extract key features of the onboard architecture from the train configuration (thousands of parameters)

  • Master's degree - Engineer Degree 
  • Certification in System Engineering
  • Electronics and data sciences knowledge
  • Alstom internal Training Advanced System Architecture Program (ASAP)
  • Specific domain knowledge (as applicable - signalling, ATLAS, Metro systems, ATP, ITCS, ..)System Engineering knowledge
  • Product & Domain knowledge
  • Ability to work transversally with Engineering teams
  • Design for safety (when required) and RAM compliance
  • Data sciences concepts and tools design System Architecting & System Interfaces
  • English communication skills
