Your future role
- Be the guardian of the “As Sold” Baseline, manages the configuration items from the “As Required” & “As Specified” baselines regarding Requirements Management
- Ensure that the management of tender and project requirements is performed as per the global Requirements Management (RM) process and methodology, thus the delivered product meets the contractual and other stakeholders requirements
- Provide the necessary support and trainings to tender and project teams regarding RM process, methodology and tools (DOORS) to perform activities requested by the process
Monitors and reports on the status of RM activities, manages the RM database and helps engineers and other scope owners in their RM activities
We’ll look to you for:
- Implements Requirement Management global processes on tender, execution contract and product development projects for technical & non-technical requirements
- Acts as the guardian of the integrity of the Contracts
- Drives the engineers in their requirements development activities
- Verifies the data quality & consistency in the RM database
- Manages the requirements changes & configuration
- Contributes to RME Network
- For RSC,
o acts as the deputy to the TPM (Train Performance Manager) or PrEM, supporting the application of the RM process on a day-to-day basis.
o acts as the deputy to the TPM (Train Performance Manager) or PrEM, supporting the application of the Configuration Baseline Missions & Trade Off processes on a day-to-day basis.
o maintains traceability from source requirements to supplier requirements (TPS) and the layers in between.
The Requirement Management Engineer (RME) Role is a project related role, i.e. the RME is assigned to 1 or multiple projects according to the complexity and the phase of the project.
Complex projects can require multiple RME, in that case:
- One of the RME is defined as the Main RME and is responsible for governance and coordination, the others supporting RME will perform the day-to-day activities in interaction with the project actors but will report directly to the Main RME
- The Main RME reports to Train System (TS) organization, owner of the Requirement Management process for RSC.
- Even if each RME belongs to a specific organization, the RME has a transversal role, which means that they will not limit the activities to the organisation they belong to but will support the project globally according to their scope of responsibility.
- Only the Main RME is reporting to TPM & CoD, in case of absence of the Main RME, one of the supporting RME will take over the governance activities.

- University degree in engineering or in Rail industry or similar
- First experience in engineering
- Practical experience of working on projects at various stages in a project lifecycle
- Good communication skills in English and other required language(s) according to the job location
- Experience on major rail projects
- Working in teams across multiple sites and cultures.English fluent spoken
- Experience utilizing database solutions for requirements management (e.g. DOORS)
- Systems Engineering/Integration conceptual knowledge
- Technical writing, requirement elicitation and formalization
