Could you be the VIE Data Solutions Lead in Charleroi we’re looking for?
Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your technical and innovative expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative, forward-thinking, and diverse teammates.
You'll lead the development and deployment of the next generation of data-driven solutions for mobility, making a significant impact on how we shape smarter transportation systems. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business, including engineering and mobility experts, data scientists, software engineers, HMI designers, and DevOps professionals. You’ll design technical solutions, ensure robust data management practices, and deliver high-quality, scalable solutions for real-world applications.
You’ll specifically take care of defining, developing, and sustaining data solutions, including storage, processing units, and user interfaces, but also evaluating new technology opportunities to enhance our systems.
We’ll look to you for:
- Designing technical solutions for production-grade and cyber-secure data solutions
- Building multi-tenant data collectors and storage systems
- Developing multi-tenant streaming and data processing in batch and near-real-time flows
- Creating scalable data models, including SQL and NoSQL modeling
- Assessing and enhancing the quality of incoming data flows
- Applying data management and security components
- Building customizable analytical dashboards
- Applying strong testing and quality assurance practices

- Engineering or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Information Systems
- Extensive practice in data processing and software development in Python, R, or Java/Scala environments
- Experience developing solutions with Apache Spark, Apache Kafka, and/or Nifi for production
- Proficiency in data modeling
- Deep knowledge of SQL database configuration, such as PostgreSQL, MariaDB, or MySQL
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, including Docker and Ansible
- Experience with Git and release management
- Proven track record of designing stable solutions, testing, and debugging
- Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration in a professional setting
- Fluent English communication skills
