Mission

As Benelux Total Reward Manager, you will lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of compensation and benefits programs across the Cluster Benelux. Your mission: to ensure that Alstom’s total remuneration offering is competitive, equitable, and aligned with both local market practices and global strategy.

From managing reward cycles and international mobility to supporting HR teams and business stakeholders with data-driven insights, you will be a key partner in fostering employee engagement, retention, and performance.

 

Key Responsibilities

Develop and Manage Compensation & Benefits Programs

  • Ensure the design, deployment and regular review of competitive and compliant total reward programs across the Benelux.
  • Lead the annual reward cycle (salary review, short- and long-term incentives, employee shareholding plans).
  • Monitor total employment costs and contribute to budget planning and forecasting.

Act as a Strategic Partner to HR and the Business

  • Provide expert support to HRBPs and people managers on pay positioning, benefits, recognition programs, and reward-related queries.
  • Deliver clear and concise communication and training to promote understanding of reward policies and tools.
  • Drive regional alignment while adapting programs to local needs and regulations.

Ensure Operational Excellence and Data Accuracy

  • Maintain high-quality compensation and benefits data and manage relevant tools and databases.
  • Oversee vendor relationships and manage local initiatives such as company car policies, warrants, CLA90, tax rulings, and benefits contracts.

Coordinate International Mobility

  • Manage expatriate and cross-border assignments, ensuring compliance with fiscal and social obligations.
  • Liaise with global mobility teams and represent Benelux in the international Total Reward network.

 

Your Profile

Required Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in HR, Business, Statistics, or equivalent work experience.
  • 8+ years of experience in Compensation & Benefits, ideally in an international and matrixed environment.
  • Solid understanding of employment law, payroll, and benefit regulations in the Benelux region.

Skills & Attributes

  • Strong analytical mindset, data-driven and detail-oriented
  • Hands-on, autonomous, and able to manage multiple topics simultaneously
  • Fluent in English and French, Dutch is a plus
  • Proficient in Excel; Power BI is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills, with a customer-centric and pragmatic approach
  • Able to collaborate across cultures and influence in a complex organizational environment
  • Previous consulting experience (Mercer, Hay, EY, etc.) is a plus
