PURPOSE OF THE JOB
- Develop thermal dissipation solutions for electronic equipments, cabinets and cubicles
- Assess thermal performances by analyses, simulations and tests
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of methods and tools related to the management of thermal aspects for Electronics
MAIN RESPONSABILITIES
Key accountabilities:
- Ensure the correct thermal design of the electronic components, boards and products
- Define the overall thermal management strategy
- Define the cooling system
- Select appropriate technologies considering equipment environment and manufacturing constraints
- Verify the thermal behavior by analysis and simulations
- Perform the equipment thermal validation (IR measurement, climatic tests participation)
- Support the equipment over its lifetime: troubleshooting, change request analysis, obsolescence management
- Ensure the correct thermal installation/integration of the equipment
- Define the cooling system of the installation, taking into account all the environmental constraints (temperature, solar radiation, humidity, rain, pollution, dust)
- Verify the thermal behavior by analysis and simulations
- Select appropriate technologies considering equipment environment and manufacturing constraints
- Contribute to the equipment thermal validation through climatic tests support and/or in situ measurements campaigns
- Participate to equipment troubleshooting investigations linked to thermal aspects (can be both on operational or reliability aspects)
- For subcontracted activities, defines the statement of work, contributes to the selection of the supplier and follow up subcontracted activities

- Through his / her activities, contribute to standardization by reusing existing solutions or by implementing reusable solutions
- Contribute to continuous improvement (RoE: Return on Experience, process …)
- Remain informed of the evolution of cooling technologies and thermal measurements through techno watch
- Survey methods and tools and contribute to the improvement of thermal analysis productivity and efficiency
- Apply standards and internal design rules

MAIN REQUIRED COMPETENCES
Educational Requirements
Mandatory:
• Master’s Degree in Engineering for Electronics or Thermal / Themodynamics field
Desirable:
• Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) diploma
• Thermal measurements certificate
Experience
Mandatory:
• Experience in thermal and fluidic numerical simulations
• Experience in thermal measurements
Desirable:
• Knowledge of FloTHERM software
