Your Mission
As a System Designer – Trackside signalization solution, you will play a critical role in designing and developing the evolution of mainline trackside signaling system. You will define requirements, develop system architectures, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to create safe, efficient, and reliable signaling solutions.
Key Responsibilities
System design & architecture :
- Analyse Customer and project needs : challenge technical proposal, if stated, or pre-analysis to limit the development effort.
- Analyse impact of changes on existing system and subsystem (Functional, Architecture, Safety, Documentation).
- Define and allocate requirement to subsystems, ensuring optimal solution in collaboration with subsystems teams, system architect and software teams.
System pre-integration :
- Contribute to the definition of pre-integration strategies.
- Define system elements and interfaces to guarantee compatibility across all subsystems.
- Perform pre-integration of subsystem deliveries on target (simulation, HW) or through documentation.
Project Execution & Stakeholder Collaboration :
- Support other disciplines : software engineering, verification and validation, safety, certification ...
- Support projects (program’s customer) : provide expertise deployment at project level and support issue resolution.
What We’re Looking For :
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in engineering(Aerospace, Electronics, Automation, Robotics or Computer Science).
- English proficiency at B2 level or higher
Key Skills & Technologies
- Understanding of requirement management & traceability.
- IT proficiency: ability to understand and configure realtime SW on target (Linux mostly, some with windows).
- Excellent analytical skills, a problem-solving mindset, and the ability to work in a highly technical environment.
Nice-to-Have:
- Knowledge of railway signaling systems (ETCS, CBTC)
- Background in safety-critical systems (e.g. automotive, aeronautics, railways...)
- Experience with modelling methods such as UML, SADT, SysML, Matlab.
