Overview:

 

ISR Special Tools Designer: Design Special Tools to match maintainability requirements of TRA and SIG projects

 

Main Responsibilities:

  • Designing and managing specific tools (outside supplier catalogue)
  • Collaborating with the LSA Engineer on the design analysis to ensure the compatibility of existing tools as well as those that are to be designed as per maintainability needs.
  • Technically specifying the need that will be necessary for Maintenance performed by the customer
  • Modelling Special Tools by:
  • Creating DMU (Digital Mock-Up) 3D CATIAV5
  • Creating the PLM DELMIA
  • Creating Note of Calculus.

 

  • Manage wherever applicable the Certification of tools (lifting tools)
  • Management and validation of Special Tools (3D DMU + Note of Calculus + Certifications
  • Manage the Archive of Special Tools documentation
  • Follow and monitor the manufacturing (suppliers or internal production) from the concept to the prototype (including certification)
  • Interface with suppliers and support the sourcing / Procurement
  • Control and inspect fabrication of tools at supplier premises if needed.
  • Design to Cost: Reusability across projects, best trade-off costs/efficacity
  • Design for Maintainability: Design tools simple to use reducing as much as possible the time to remove a replace components
  • Prepare the User and maintenance manuals for designed tools
  • Improve the documentation for existing tools (including software tools in TRA and SIG)
  • Collaborate with SIG design engineering (conception and design) for developing ICT requirements for tools in SIG.

 

Educational Requirements:

Mandatory:

Bachelor in electromechanics or mechanics or equivalent with 5+Years of experience.

 

Experience:

Experience in CATIA V5 minimum 2 Years.

Minimum 2 years’ experience in Conception and design of electromechanics tools.

Desirable:

  • Experience in ISR/ILS/IPS elements.
  • Experience in Maintainability Analysis
  • Experience in Product Support Analysis
  • Experience in requirements definition for ICT
  • Experience on electrical and environmental sensors (temperature, current, voltages, air flow, …)

 

MAIN REQUIRED COMPETENCES

 

Fluent in French

English language working level as a minimum (A2)

MS Office (Operational Level) – Excel for basic structural calculation

CATIA V5 designer (MD2)

Project Stakeholder management (Internal) and minimum customer interface ability

Leadership skill to manage commitments & interface with stakeholders.
