Mission

As a Project V&V Manager, you will lead the Verification & Validation activities for complex railway signalling projects, ensuring full conformity of the delivered system with design, customer, and safety requirements. Your scope covers both lab and on-site validation, with a mix of technical execution and coordination.

 

Main Responsibilities

Strategy & Planning

  • Define the Verification & Validation strategy and formalize it in the V&V Plan
  • Establish and maintain the Requirement Validation Table (RVT) and validation coverage
  • Coordinate planning, workload forecast, and reporting of all V&V activities
  • Monitor and coordinate a team of V&V designers, manage schedules and time and cost charges.

Lab-Based Activities

  • Write specifications and test cases; execute functional and integration tests (Lab & Site)
  • Set up and manage test benches and ensure independence from design (V&V Cycle)

On-Site Validation

  • Prepare and conduct field tests (odometry, EMC, functional tests not reproducible in lab)
  • Collaborate with commissioning teams and represent V&V activities on site

Coordination & Follow-Up

  • Interface with design, safety, and project teams to align on test strategy and results
  • Coordinate internal contributors and subcontractors, ensuring quality and timely delivery
  • Monitor progress and risks, and report key performance indicators (CPI, DQI)

 

Profile

Education

  • Master’s degree in Engineering (mandatory)
  • Fluent in English

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years in V&V, signalling, or system integration
  • Background in safety-critical or regulated environments
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional technical activities
  • Knowledge of Alstom platforms is a plus (ERTMS/ETCS Solutions)
