Your mission

As a Project Contract Manager you are a key player in our project teams, acting as the bridge between Alstom and its customers and suppliers.

You’re not just managing contracts—you’re driving value. You proactively identify risks, opportunities, and claims, helping to protect and optimize Alstom’s interests across both customer-facing and supplier-related aspects.

You will split your time between managing customer contracts and handling supplier claims. In both areas, your goal is clear: secure entitlements, prevent losses, and help the business make the most out of each contractual situation.

Key Responsibilities

Customer contract management

  • Review, analyse and understand the contractual obligations and opportunities of each project
  • Monitor Alstom’s and the client’s commitments to ensure full compliance and optimize outcomes
  • Advise project teams on contractual risks and potential claims
  • Build strong relationships with clients and handle all contract-related correspondence
  • Create and maintain solid documentation to support any claim or variation order
  • Ensure that all communications are delivered on time, with a strategic and commercial mindset

Suppliers claim management

  • Work hand-in-hand with Procurement to detect supplier delays or non-compliances
  • Support and lead supplier claim processes to recover costs or penalties when supplier issues impact project delivery

Transversal responsibilities

  • Create and maintain contract summaries, risk registers, variation logs, and claim files
  • Anticipate and escalate contractual issues before they become problems
  • Collaborate closely with Project Managers,  Finance, Legal and Engineering teams
  • Contribute to building a contract management culture across the organisation
  • Support process improvements and promote best practices in contract and claim management

What you bring

  • Master’s degree, ideally in Law, Business or Engineering
  • At least 4 years of experience in contract or claim management, preferably in a project-driven environment
  • Strong experience dealing with external clients and stakeholders
  • Excellent analytical and writing skills, particularly for letters and formal communication
  • Assertiveness, autonomy, and a strong sense of initiative
  • A proactive mindset: you’re eager to dive into contracts and uncover hidden value
  • Excellent communication skills in English (French is a plus)
  • A collaborative spirit and the ability to work transversally across departments
  • Familiarity with contract management tools, Excel, MS Word, and project planning tools
