Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your verification and validation expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative and detail-oriented teammates.
You'll ensure that Alstom’s designs are fit for their intended use by implementing and executing Verification, Integration, and Test activities, all while meeting targets in terms of quality, cost, and delivery. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (engineering, safety, RAM, and other departments), align with experts on methodologies, and represent Alstom in discussions with customers, partners, and auditors.
You’ll specifically take care of defining test plans and methodologies, performing allocated verification activities, and managing configurations, but also contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and provide valuable feedback during REX sessions.
We’ll look to you for:
- Contributing to the definition and implementation of the Program Verification and Validation strategy.
- Defining verification methodologies and test plans for in-house activities.
- Executing and reporting verification, integration, and test activities.
- Interfacing with other departments to align on methodologies and share results.
- Representing Alstom in discussions with customers, partners, and auditors.
- Specifying, procuring, and configuring test assets like testbenches and instrumentation.
- Providing data to maintain applicable KPIs and supporting root cause analysis.
- Managing configuration and change management cycles related to V&V activities.
- Coordinating with T&C for tests exported to site execution.
All about you
- We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:
- A degree in engineering or a related scientific field (a master’s degree is a plus).
- Experience in product development and understanding of software coding.
- Good analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of at least one Alstom platform (knowledge of multiple platforms is a plus).
- Experience in systems or sub-systems integration, embedded equipment, or electrotechnical product development in a complex and regulated environment (e.g., railway signalling, aerospace, defense, or nuclear) is a significant advantage.
- Strong communication skills with proficiency in English (both written and spoken).
- An open-minded and entrepreneurial mindset with a sense of urgency.
