PURPOSE OF THE JOB

  • Drive and monitor a scope of activities and deliverables related to the Configuration and Change Management process.
  • Support the Project / Program Configuration and Change Manager (PrCCM) to keep the project / program under control during the whole project / program life cycle.

 

MAIN RESPONSABILITIES  

  • Is the deputy of the PrCCM.
  • Promotes the Alstom Code of Ethics and adheres to the highest standards of ethical conduct.
  • Applies Configuration and Change standard procedures, instructions, templates etc. and ensures that team members do not bypass them.
  • Ensures the activities and Roles & Responsibilities in the Configuration Management Plan (CMP) are applied and followed.

 

The main general responsibilities of the PrCCC are the following, nevertheless depending on the CCM setup they might be adapted to a selection of them to focus on a specific scope of the CCM Process

  • Identifies, verifies the items to be put under configuration control (Configuration Items and/or Target Items)
  • Creates and maintains the Configuration Item List and /or the Target Item List for Configuration Baselines
  • Prepares and publishes the Configuration Baselines and/or Target Configuration Releases as planned
  • Ensures Supplier Configuration Management incl. CCM requirement negotiation and requested CCM documentation.
  • Ensures that Configuration data is recorded and documented, monitoring its compliance.
  • Deviations from Configuration Baseline Types and the Target Configurations shall be investigated and inconsistencies shall be documented and managed, e.g. by waiver, concession, required changes
  • Prepares, extracts and communicates Configuration Status Accounting Report (CSAR)
  • Facilitate the electrical event management and transfer when necessary into the Change Management Process
  • Follow-up the field modifications for the electrical sub-system within electrical development center and manufacturing sites
  • Provide the sub-system target configuration data to the PrCCM
  • Is the facilitator of the Change Boards, monitoring Change requests and related activities.
  • Coordinates and aligns all the project stakeholders regarding the changes.
  • Coordinates to ensure the completeness, correctness, clarity and timeline of Change Requests in cooperation with the Change requestor from preparation to Approval to Implementation and Closure.
  • Prioritizes Change Requests in cooperation with requestor and other functions by Assignment to Baseline and/or Target Configuration
  • Provides Configuration and Change Management reporting and indicators (Key Performance Indicators) at PrCCM request
  • Escalates any CCM related issues in the Project / Program to the PrCCM and the respective supervisor and proposes possible solution.

 

MAIN REQUIRED COMPETENCES

Educational Requirements

Mandatory:

  • From Bachelor’s degree to Graduate of University degree in any of Engineering/Project Management/Business Management or equivalent

 

Desirable:

CMII certificate

 

Experience

Mandatory:

  • Basic knowledge of Configuration & Change Management
  • Basic knowledge in Business Process Management, Project Management, Risk Management, Supply Chain, Engineering and/or Industrialization
  • Basic experiences in working in an international environment

 

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of configuration & change processes and related processes of contributing Métiers/ / Functions
  • Fluent English language skills
  • 1-3 years of experience in configuration and change management role (depending on assignment)

 

Competencies & Skills

  • Knowledge of railway products, systems and components
  • Knowledge of the AT standard information systems of the digital chain (SAP, PLM, Change Tools, etc.)
  • Ability to communicate with all involved project stakeholders
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Systematic, rigorous, proactive and organized
  • Proposes continuous improvement on new ideas and ways about methods, processes and standards in order to achieve or improve performance objectives.
  • Is a team worker and sets a good environment for team colleagues.
