OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

In charge of Alstom Digital Mobility / Platforms Development.

 

ORGANISATIONAL REPORTING:

Direct report line to Development Center Director

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Contribute to the roadmap definition of his/her System

• Propose the System specifications aligned with Solutions needs and requirements, in coordination with

other Program Managers as needed, ensuring safety & quality, application competitiveness, customer orientation and innovation

• Manage, control and execute timely all developments related to his/her program (performances, planning/delivery, cost, risks, savings) and in compliance with the approved QCD commitments

• Manage all Gate Reviews related to the program, coordinate all Program Work Packages to meet overall QCD commitments

• Ensure that his/her System is easily deployable by Projects and supported by a comprehensive and efficient set of standard tools, procedures, training material and documentation (deployment kit)

• Optimize and measure System performances

• Drive and make decisions for issues that affect performance, with validation from Solution Director for any modification that affects deployment cost, planning, and performances of the System/Product

• Be responsible for R&D Programs relatedto the System. Prepare and present his/her program reviews during Development Center Reviews, Technology Approval Board (TAB)/Design review Board (DRB), as defined in the S&P Management cycle/SIG Management cycle. Ensure that S&P DR/TAB/DRB decisions are implemented

• Coordinate work of other entities (industrialization, sourcing, finance,…) related to his / her program

• Operationally manage the Métier resources allocated to the program, provide leadership and ensure that the program teams fulfil efficiently its duties, including Projects technical support

• Monitor operationally the Product Program Managers contributing to the System

• According to Development Center organization, may manage directly SAA (System Application Architect) Performance Measurement/KPI’s

• Scope management, System targeted performances achievement

• QCD commitment respect

 

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

EDUCATION

• Education: Engineering degree with specific training/experience in the fields of Signalling Systems and Rolling Stock.

• Language skills: Good level in the French and English language (written, spoken). German is an asset.

 

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES & EXPERIENCE

• Management of similar development programs (multiple customers/multiple suppliers) especially in Qualification / Testing environment

• Basic knowledge of railway signalling is an asset

• Understanding of software development processes and technologies is appreciated.

• Writing skills: clarity, rigor and synthetic view.
