Your Mission

As our Communication Officer, you will support our Benelux Communication Director in both internal and external communications. With activities ranging from the latest trains for the national railway companies to signalling systems and maintenance services, Alstom Benelux is rich in innovation and local stories to tell.

Your mission? Help us tell those stories in ways that inspire, engage, and deliver impact—both within the company and to the outside world.

This is a hands-on role with lots of variety and autonomy. You’ll get to create, coordinate, and implement communication actions, while working closely with internal stakeholders, media, partners, and the wider European communication network.

 

Key responsibilities

Internal Communication

  • Keep our teams connected and engaged with effective internal communications across our sites in Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg.
  • Support and coordinate internal events and campaigns.
  • Manage content for internal tools: intranet, Alstom TV, mailings, manager briefings, etc.

External Communication & Media Relations

  • Support the promotion of Alstom’s image and reputation in the Benelux media.
  • Contribute to writing and coordinating press releases, interviews, press visits, media partnerships, etc.
  • Monitor media visibility and support reactive PR actions when needed.

Brand & Customer Communication

  • Help ensure consistent and impactful messaging in support of business development and customer relations.
  • Support tender documents, speaking opportunities, visuals, milestones, and events.
  • Ensure alignment with Alstom’s brand guidelines across all materials.

Employer Branding

  • In partnership with HR, contribute to Alstom’s employer branding strategy to attract top talent.

Teamwork & Coordination

  • Work hand-in-hand with the Benelux Communication Director and site communication relays.
  • Be an active contributor to the European Communication Team.
  • Provide proactive support to business functions and site management teams.

 

 

Your Profile

Education & Experience

  • Master’s degree in communications
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in a similar role, ideally in the mobility sector or a comparable industrial/technical environment

Languages

  • Fluent in French, with excellent command of English and/or Dutch
