Purpose of the job:

Support the Benelux Communication Director in ensuring consistent communications both externally and internally, in order to support the business in the cluster in close coordination with internal and external stakeholders

 

Accountabilities:

The Benelux Communications Officer assists the Benelux Communication Director in achieving the function's objectives and strategies in the following areas:

 

Internal Comms.  Keep the employees updated and informed of the relevant news regarding the company and its projects & strategy with the focus on motivation and involvement. Coordinate internal events and feed current and new internal tools (mailings, intranet/ sharepoints, Alstom TVs, managerial and all-employees meetings, campaigns, ….)

 

External - Media relations.  Supporting the Communication Director in promoting and protecting the brand in the Benelux media, and developing Alstom's image and reputation as a leader in green and smart mobility through interviews, dedicated reports, press releases, advertorials, press visits, and so on.

 

External - Brand towards customers. Promote & protect brand towards customers and political stakeholders. Support commercial and business development teams (messages and visuals, tenders support, speaking opportunities, sponsorships and milestone promotion).

 

External and internal – Brand. Protect the brand guidelines and provide support to the business and functions with brand advice (offices and sites, advertising, brochures, presentations, etc.).

 

Employer Branding. Realizing Alstom's employer branding vision together with the HR department.

 

Team Coordination

  • The Benelux communications Officer/Manager is member of Communication function and will work in close coordination with the cluster management team and the European Communication Team.
  • He/she will also collaborate with the communications relays on sites.

 

Profile

Education : University degree level in communications, marketing or business studies or proven experience. Or any other degree with a master in communication and/or proven experience in the area.

Experience  5 to 10 years in a similar position

Languages : Fluent in Frenchn an excellent knowledge of English and good command of Dutch.
