OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

Key position in the Indirect Procurement Team, together with your colleagues you’re fully accountable of the procurement process and competitivity for the indirect spent containing consultancy, services, facility management, insurance, CAPEX & OPEX….

 

Network & Links: 

Procurement local/central, Project team, Industrial, Planning, Supplier Quality, Supply Chain, Legal, Finance, Engineering.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Team management and development:

  • Secures compliance of his team to the Alstom code of Ethics
  • Manage headcount and staffing
  • Manage buyer team in close link with central procurement (Commodity Manager)
  • Monitor local sourcing team workload and productivity
  • Develop team skills & agility
  • Drive TTA (Team Trust Action) Value

 

Sourcing performance:

  • Applies & support Alstom Transport procurement rules, process & tools
  • Support buyer team with his /her expertise
  • Challenge central procurement (Commodity Manager) to secure project execution and profitability
  • Drive continuous improvement within the team (Alstom Performance SYStem)
  • Manage Supplier Quality Cost and Delivery performances
  • Perform monthly supplier QCD performance and secure objectives achievement

 

Project execution and profitability:

  • Support buyers to face commercial and contractual negotiation during project execution phase
  • Challenge site stakeholders (engineering, supply chain, quality...) to secure project execution and profitability
  • Track procurement performance in project and issue action plan in case of deviation
  • Analyses risks and sets appropriate mitigation plan
  • Formalize and share Return of Experience
  • Secure procure to pay

 

Operationnal excellence & Cash focus:

  • Monitor and secure deliveries objectives (OTIF)
  • Monitor and secure with quality and stakeholders first time right of deliveries
  • Collaborate with accounting department to reach days payable outstanding target
  • Collaborate to site industrial continuous improvement

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

 

EDUCATION

 

Business School and MASTER in Purchasing or equivalent trough experience

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES & EXPERIENCE 

 

  • Procurement professional background of 10 years
  • Previous experience of 5 years within indirect sourcing management
  • International mindset
  • Language skills: Fluent in English, French other language is an asset
